"The cart system itself is pretty good, but pray you don't need much help customizing certain aspects. Most of the replies on the message boards consist of "Just do this" with zero attempt at explaining HOW to "do this". Of course asking for an explanation often yields an explanation...a day or so later. The documentation leaves a LOT to be desired and is only useful if you have zero need or desire to touch PHP code for extreme customization. There's a support wiki, but the most recent version has a handful of articles covering material already covered in the PDF documentation that comes with the system.
Long story short, if you don't think you'll need to customize anything, go for it. Other wise there's a huge learning curve that you'll end up dealing with alone."

"I've been using CCP since version 5 and now that there is Joomla integration on version 7, this is a great cart solution for the setups that I'm doing. If you're doing a basic store that doesn't require a lot of features, this might be overkill, but if you are doing a store that requires a full featured cart, this is a great choice, especially if you're comfortable with doing some hacking of the code. The forum is helpful and active, so that helps, documentation is good, but could be stronger there. You can usually find answers on the forum if not in the documentation. Great cart! "

"Version 5 of CCP was easy to understand and has feature rich. Version 6 of CCP was bloated and hard to understand so it was quickly replaced by Version 7 which is still more complicated than it needs to be for a shopping cart but it is easier to work with than Version 6 and has a lot more features over Version 5.
Overall, Version 7 is very powerful and fairly intuitive to work with but it would be nice if future versions would return back to being a shopping cart vs. trying to be an end-all-be-all solution for everything website related as it just makes it harder to do day to day tasks by wading through mounds of settings that dont need to be displayed to the average e-commerce store admin."

"I have been using this software for many years with only one or two glitches along the way. Excellent support forum. I have over 2000 products listed on our site. I gave this 4 out of 5 only for the reason Amazon or Google payments cannot yet be integrated into the software. None the less this is a good software at a very good price. "Click Cart Pro, the new version has made vast improvements from their earlier "Tiki" version. The CSS based layout is nice, though the cart still uses some nested tables. The CSS is also quite bloated -- I think perhaps Nick was just learning. The CSS could be a lot more elegant.
Hard to get around and learn how to do things when you're new, but easy enough for someone fairly experienced with PHP, though even then you'll be asking questions on the forums as to where things are hidden.
Support leaves a lot to be desired, slow to respond, hard to get a good answer on the forums.
My biggest complaint is that the Quickbooks integration is total crap. And there are no batch processing tools for quickly updating multiple orders as shipped or in process.
The cart supports inventory control per product and decimal ordering support which is rare and nice -- especially for fabric stores that sell half yard and quarter yard quantities.
This cart comes close, but falls short in some key areas, especially Quickbooks integration. I'd give it 3.5 stars."

"I used this shopping cart for a couple of years on one of my own websites, and installed and customized it for several clients. It is my favorite shopping cart to customize, it is so easy to design the cart however I want it to look (clean code and all) then just plop the CCP code into it.
The admin is confusing at first, but not as difficult to use as some. The manual is a waste of effort, it's written for programmers, not beginning small business owners.
I was told once by a support tech at my server that CCP was one of the easiest carts to 'break into', I'm not sure what he meant but he reiterated it was not secure. I don't know if CCP has done anything about this since.
The support is iffy. Sometimes you can get help on the forums, the owner of the cart, Nick is slow to respond because he's so busy.
I love that you can enter different images for your thumbnail and main product images. The cart doesn't just "squash" the main image down to make a blurry thumbnail like ZenCart and oscommerce do.
I quite like the cart and would probably go back to it if the support were better."

"A very professional and robust cart with many features you would only get on more expensive shopping carts.
Technical support is good and the support forum is always available for help.

"The software is easy to install and launch with the built-in templates. The software goes through extensive testing before release. To modify the templates, some HTML knowledge is required. If you need custom designs and features, then the open-source Perl code combined with the extensive forum will help to get you where you need to be. You will not be stuck with an ecommerce package that cannot keep up with time. The forum also offers free technical support and referrals."

One of the best carts we've seen. It has a low price tag, yet it provides almost all the features. It can generate many different type of reports. There is an extensive range of add on modules for purchase, many functions aren't available without one or more of these modules. Also has export to Quickbooks and Peachtree.
