"We have used this cart for a wristwatches web store since several years ago. The cart is reliable and fast when you use it connected to a mySQL database. Regarding SEO, the admin control panel includes a feature to use product titles as file names and also metatags. Our store has good SEO and great sales. Support Forum not so good but we have only required support at setup."

"1. Poor or no support.
2. Problems come up and they can't get them fixed for weeks.
3. Cannot talk to anyone on the phone.
We left about 4 years ago and it's the best decision we made. Go to Yahoo for a cart that works and 24/7/365 support.
You suck Comersus."

"I've used the free version and PowerPack for a couple of sites. I'm an ASP programmer so this cart gave me a lot of useful functionality to start with. I highly modified the released and extended the code to get what I wanted.
The problem is that Comersus Cart is in no way optimized for search engine optimization. In fact, the coding practices used in the source are SEO-unfriendly. For example, it uses redirects extensively, links & text (actual content) is very far down the page, links are non-readable (not plain English) and complex.
I've had minimal interaction with support, but I did report a few bugs and asked for clarification on items, and I must agree with other posts that they are, for the most part, unresponsive.
Example sites Ive done with Comersus are:
www.WindsMusic.com and www.doctorsprod.com
Both use MySQL backend.
I'm currently recommending that to my clients who have Comersus Cart to redo with a modern SEO-Optimized cart or solution like InterSpire or Volusion. After all, what good is a functional cart if you can`t be found on Google?"

"I don't think I could say it any better than the Dennis. The customer support was horrible and after several hunderds of dollars to customize the cart to be more user friendly I gave it up. I hate many days of lost sales due to coding issues and 1 of 3 customers would call with problems not being able to check out. Now that I am using another, much more professional company, I can not stress enough to everyone that it is worth spending more money for a reputable company."

"We purchased this software to take our e-Bay business on-line. Comersus was very responsive to our e-mails unitl we purchased the (BackOffice) Power Pack Premium ($370), and from there it went downhill quickly. Unless you are a very good programmer this software is NOT for you (If you're looking for a Out of the Box Solution to begin desgning your e-commerce store then keep looking this one is NOT for you). We were impressed with the capabilities but after purchasing we were surprised to learn all the programming we'd have to do to set-up our site. We can't even get them to return our e-mails, it's like they packed up and left town!! The forum has been of little help to our needed support questions and Comersus wants some big $$$ to offer one-on-one Support. If you make the mistake of purchasing this software, you better be a great programmer or find you a programmer quickly or else you'll be out $370 as is our business. Sorry for the bad PR Comersus but your lack of professionalism, poor Customer Service, and software that is mis-leading in how you market it is what gives on-line retailers a bad name. "

"This cart seems to lack features and their $100/hr. support fee is outrageous. It may be an excelklent cart, but I'm gonna look elsewhere - it made bad impression on me or a mediocre as the most."

"I think Comersus is tremendous. I was stuck looking for a low cost shopping cart until I found it. It is very high quality, and provides a rich set of functionality for free. Best of all, it came with all source code and had an active user support forum with no registration required. It provides a large suite of payment gateway links and although my preferred gateway - the National Australia Bank - was not provided, Comersus do provide a detailed gateway writing guide so programmers can quickly and seamlessly tie in their own. I found skinning the site to be a bit tricky but despite that I'm ecstatic with it. The free version only supports Microsoft Access, but because it has proven to be such a good product, my company has ok'ed me spending some money to buy a higher version with SQL Server support. Even then, the higher end prices are extremely reasonable. I'm very happy with Comersus and it solved a real need."
