"I've used PD Shop basic, pro and advanced for several ecommerce sites. It's awesome and has too many features to list. It is very easy for an ASP developer to customize and integrate with other products. I love Pagedown Tech!"

"Charged our company card to download and after 4 phone calls and 4 hours of waiting was told needed to FAX a copy of the card in to them (1 person perched in an apartment probably) despite during purchase must provide the credit card 3 digit security code number.
All because this company thinks an IP detect script (I'm based in the largest manufacuring hug in the world) detected me working on site in China.
Ironical. After researching I though we had found the best cart for the money.
A tip guys! Stop coding so much and realise not everyone has a nice sounding Anglican name and buries themselves behind a screen a day!
And never make your clients wait to pay!

In fact it is alot more than a shopping cart, it can be your entire website... and since it comes with a web admin, you really don't need to FTP or upload anything ever again, the admin tool is comprehensive. Very pleased with this product, my client gives it an A+++"

"PDShop Pro is a very basic shopping cart. It's functional and fast, but doesn't allow for lots of customizations to the look and feel of the cart without massive code changes. If you are keen to grow you will soon run into the limitations of this cheap shopping cart."

"...I spent two months with programmers for both php and asp formats. I have tried at least 20 cart programs in my life. I have never seen anything work like this program works. It is borderline shell shocking because in two to three days, I, MYSELF, accomplished everything I needed on my sites store. Yet these professionals who I paid could not deal for two to three months. Plus, after getting it to work on a shared server, I transferred the entire site to its own dedicated server and somehow it all worked seamless and without being down for one second. That was a first for me and all and all; this is by leaps and bounds the easiest transition with regard to any web site integration, let alone e-commerce. And, I would have paid whatever to get this site and its cart situation to work and believe me, I paid thousands for NO WORK completed, but my point is the fact that this thing costs $149 is a joke. This is a $1,000 cart program. It is up there and actually, easier to integrate with sites than carts like storfront/laguarde which I love, but is pricey. Also, PGD and blows miva out of the water as far as design and makes OS Commerce look like a high school project. Everything was so easy yet so professional and I am just saying that since 98, I have watched people learn on my dime in this industry that it puts the music industry to shame as far as scum bags. For me to find a company that wants to see other people thrive on the web is really what the spirit of the internet should be all about and this cart is perfect for any situation. Most of all, I am in shock at how great this cart makes me look as a company! I hope this is helpful because you should not even remotely spend money anywhere else because this cart should triple this price. And, I have the top priced program so the fact there are lesser priced situations is even more of a gift. Sorry, I have never wrote praising articles about a computer related program. Usually, they do not work to perfection."

This is a good shopping cart - the best among the three versions of PDshopPro. However, still it lacks good report generation facility. But other facilities like tax calculations, gift certificates etc. are really valued ones. The price is also comparatively lower than other carts. |
