"THE GOOD: What's there in the free version is pretty easy to use. It's fairly basic and strait forward. It has a flat file database which is easier for most of us to deal with.
THE BAD: It's not capable of doing Paypal checkouts (or any other checkout) out of the box nor is it capable of calculating taxes. It might be worth it to purchase the ext version but at 169 euro ($232 US) there are much better options."

"nice little flat file shopping cart. easy to edit and the support is almost good.
the userbase is growing (a lot of polish users, but they do their best to translate to english).
because its flat file its quick. very quick. and dont let flat file put you off. can take hundreds of products before coming close to slowing down.
having said all that. it does not have any payment methods integrated. doesnt have paypal express checkout - which i feel is a basic requirement given its so convenient and popular. are third party modules which can be integrated with a little work though.
compaired to the larger open source projects its lacking in features so the admin is basic.
overall is simple, fast, so easy to edit the templates but lacking.
recommend to at least try it, just for the fun at least. if the site i was doing didnt require more advanced features, i would have used this."

"Quick.Cart (and their sister product Quick.CMS) is fantastic if you're looking for a free, simple and lightweight flat-file solution (with no MYSQL required).
The design is easy to modify using CSS and their code is tidy making it easy to make small changes and additions if you know what you're doing.
Their template system means it's really easy to create different designs for different categories/pages if needed.
But - if you are looking for a more robust system with MYSQL, gift vouchers, contact forms etc. then Quick.Cart free version is not for you.
I have used OpenSolution's products for years and they provide a great service and support on their forums with an active community of users."

"NOT much to like. the shipping options are extremely limited and rather than fix their shipping options for specific areas they prefer you make it easier for them and screw over other areas you mail to. In order to use USPS non custom they have one option for international so you have to charge over $40 no matter whan someone out of the USA buys. Just plain lazy staff. I can't get the surcharges to work. many times I have lost shipping because that was on the fritz. they try to give you wanys to get around things other than actually fixing the problem. I need a new cart. Juvinile templates also. Too expensive for what they offer. I'm done."

"I've been looking for a good, affordable and customizeable shopping cart for quite some time. This cart is among the best for it's ease of use. I setup my shopping cart in less than an hour with both the products and categories I wanted. One draw back was that I had to fix some of the grammer in the english language file. However, this was not a major problem and considering that this program was free I did not mind. I will definately donating towards this great cart. Thanks again."

"I like the simplicity and easy of use that this cart provides. But it does not allow international customers (except Canada) to place orders. There is no provision for country name and no ability to accept a non- standard US telephone number or zip code. Hopefully they will be able to ad this ability to their cart. Right now I am looking for a better solution."
