"Virtuemart has so many limitations that is is not useable except for simple applications. Its ability to use attributes is criptic and covers just basic features. You cannot even assign different weights to models sizes so that proper shipping can be applied. You cannot put absolute pricing in when attributes cause prices to change. Everything must be a delta to the base model.
The checkout procedure is just awful. Makes you want to run away. So many better options than Virtuemart. I don't know of any worse shopping cart."

"I have used virtuemart on a few sites. The very best thing about it, is its a component to joomla. So in essence, the possibilities are endless. You can easily create a full front end site, and integrate a cart easily on the back."
