"Our company tried at least a half dozen carts - including test implementations of many of the best-known competitors - before choosing Ecommerce Templates. The product has been in production on our fast-growing ecommerce site for well over a year now, and it's been rock-solid despite very rapid transaction growth. Technical support has been excellent - detailed and responsive, and we've been able to create a professional, compelling cart that customers say they love using standard product options. My only complaint: it took us too long to find Ecommerce Templates because they don't advertise as heavily as the others you'll see reviewed on this site. We use a PHP version that's designed for our Dreamweaver environment, but you can also choose pre-built templates if you don't want to create a "look and feel" with your own designers. Do yourself a favor - try this product before you spend big dollars for a subscription-based service."

"This is the first time I've been moved to review anything on the net but I really feel compelled to share my experience with Ecommerce Templates.
In the Summer my family pushed me into setting up a shop to sell my handy-work, I make chicken coops and rabbit hutches. I tried some freebie stores and gave up deciding it wasn't for me. A colleague at work showed me a store he'd set up with Ecommerce Templates and with trepidation downloaded a copy. He went through the basics with me and a few days later my shop was unleashed to the world.
It's been brilliant, if I can set up a shop, anyone can. The support is out of this world, helping me this week to add pdf files to the store with plans of coops.
Feedback from friends, family and customers has been great and I only wish I'd done this earlier. Believe me, this is a no brainer."

"I know a lot of people have found this cart easy to install and use out of the box. But don't buy it if you will want to customise the code in any way. The quality of the PHP code is APPALLING. They should be ashamed to sell this commercially. There are files 5,000 lines long with a jumble of PHP and HTML, functions defined all over the place -- trying to find the bit you want to change is a nightmare. Buyer beware."

"I use Ecommerce Templates for my UK based gift store. The set up was simple and the support has been great. This is the first time I've entered into the world of ecommerce and it has been thoroughly enjoyable. I have two more sites now in the pipeline and will be using Ecommerce Templates for both."

"I’m a self-taught web designer with no programming experience and had never used a database or dealt with php when I started looking for a shopping cart for a client needing an ecommerce site. Ecommerce templates low price compared to other carts had me worried it wouldn’t have all of the features we required or that it would be too difficult to install and maintain. Thankfully, I couldn’t have been more wrong. I recently purchased my fourth cart for a new client and am still happy I found ETC. Their support forum is outstanding the carts have only improved since my first purchase. I would highly recommend this to anyone seeking a cart for an ecommerce site."

"This is an excellent cart for customizing - the generic cart is all you need. We even did extensive customization of the checkout process without a hitch.
Your clients will also like the easy to use and clearly laid out control panel. It allows day to day operation of the site (ie inventory, adding products, etc) so that they don't have to contact you. This is in stark contrast to Zen Cart, which will make your life a helpdesk hell.
Another excellent thing about this cart is that it's regularly updated with new features, improvements and security patches. The forums are also an excellent resource. "

"If you are looking for a flexible, easy to use shopping cart look no further. E Commerce Templates are simply the best. Loaded with amazing features, you will be stunned at what you can accomplish at any skill level. Basically, if you can vision it this cart system can do it. The support forum for this cart system is the ultimate. There is always someone that can provide assistance should you get stuck, or want guidance when trying something daring or unique. In addition there are a number of developers available for custom work, and many offer pre-made "mods" to suit your particular needs at budget friendly prices. Having computer experience but with a basic understanding of my HTML editor, I had our store up and running very quickly. You will not find another shopping cart system that can beat the price, support and superior features of this product!"
